Museum Admission

Open Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

Our outdoor exhibits are open to a limited number of guests who reserve online in advance. Indoor exhibits are temporarily closed due to county health orders.

We have made changes to our cleaning and guest services protocols to keep everyone as safe as possible. Masks are required for anyone three years or older and must cover your nose and mouth at all times while on Museum property.

We have implemented a one-way flow of movement from the Admissions, through our outdoor exhibits, and exiting past the observatory to the parking lot. Please maintain at least a six foot distance between you and anyone not in your household.

Sea Center Admission

Discover the wonders of ocean life at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center. Located on historic Stearns Wharf, this regional aquarium offers you close encounters with marine animals from the Santa Barbara Channel.

We have made several changes to our cleaning and guest services protocols to keep everyone as safe as possible. Tickets are $7/person and can be purchased at the Sea Center. You may need to wait in line to enter the Sea Center.

Natural History of Wine, Beer and Spirits – Bourbon

Enjoy an hour with Beam Suntory Whiskey Ambassador Amanda Gunderson and SBMNH Director of Exhibits and Education Frank Hein as they explore the bourbon-making process and taste Knob Creek, Basil Hayden’s, and Jim Beam Black.
