Membership

Nobody does science and nature like we do. How do we know? We’ve been doing it for more than a century!

When you invest in a Museum Membership, you are investing in the Museum’s mission to inspire a thirst for discovery and a passion for the natural world. Museum Membership provides free admission to the Museum and Sea Center all year long. Members enjoy special exhibit previews, discounts on events, festivals, lectures, camps, and more.

Member: $105

($105 is tax-deductible)

Free admission to Museum and Sea Center for two named adults or one named adult and admission for a guest. Dependent children are not included at this level

  • Discounts in our Museum and Sea Center Stores
  • Discounts to our adult classes, lectures, and more
  • Free or reduced admission privileges to more than 330 museums and science centers worldwide
Member 2 Year: $200

($200 is tax-deductible)

All Member Level benefits as well as:

  • A second year, a $10 savings

Adventurer: $155

($155 is tax-deductible)

All Member Level benefits as well as:

Free admission to the Museum and Sea Center for up to 5 dependent children under 18 years

Adventurer 2 Year: $300

($300 is tax-deductible)

All Adventurer Level benefits as well as:

  • A second year, a $10 savings

Adventurer Plus: $195

($195 is tax-deductible)

All Adventurer Level benefits as well as:

Free admission to the Museum and Sea Center for one additional named adult or admission for a guest. By choosing the guest option, the user must be accompanied by named individuals on card.

Adventurer Plus 2 Year: $380

($380 is tax-deductible)

All Adventurer Plus Level benefits as well as:

  • A second year, a $10 savings

Naturalist: $250

($166 is tax-deductible)

All Adventurer Plus Level benefits as well as:

Free admission to the Museum and Sea Center for one additional guest per visit with presentation of your card (4 adults total)

  • Four guest passes
  • Invitations to Maximus Art Gallery opening exhibit receptions (3 to 4 per year)
  • Free admission to our Cocktails with a Curator events

Naturalist 2 Year: $490

($322 is tax-deductible)

All Naturalist Level benefits as well as:

  • A second year, a $10 savings

Explorer: $450

($366 is tax-deductible)

All Naturalist Level benefits as well as:

  • Two additional Guest Passes (total of six)
  • Early registration for the Museum's Nature Adventures™ camps at the Museum and Sea Center

Leadership Circles of Giving

Become a Member of the Leadership Circles of Giving—a community of supporters committed to exploration, discovery, and education. The deeper your engagement, the more central you are to the Museum’s core values and strengths—and the greater your impact on the issues about which you care the most.
Patron's Circle: $1,000–$2,499

(Membership benefits value of $202 are not tax-deductible)

All Explorer Level benefits as well as:

  • Invitations to exclusive events throughout the year, including the annual Leadership Circles Dinner, and the Reception with the Museum President & CEO
  • Customized, curator-led tour of the Museum’s collections and research departments for 4-6 people
  • Invitation to field trips featuring unique natural history sites, regional museums and gardens
  • Unlimited guests when accompanied by you
  • Eight free guest passes for entry into the Museum or Sea Center
  • Recognition on the Museum’s electronic donor screen located at the Museum entrance and in the Leadership Circles Dinner program
  • 20% discount at the Museum Stores in December

Director's Circle: $2,500–$4,999

(Membership benefits value of $202 are not tax-deductible)

All Patron’s Circle Level benefits as well as:

  • Up to 30 Museum passes donated to a school or charity of your choice
  • Free guest passes for entry into the Museum or Sea Center – available upon request

President's Circle: $5,000–$9,999

(Membership benefits value of $352 are not tax-deductible)

All Director’s Circle Level benefits as well as:

  • Opportunity to host a private at-cost dinner or cocktail reception in a gallery of your choice at the Museum
  • One complimentary Family Membership for a friend, associate, or to donate to a community organization or school of your choice

Collector's Circle: $10,000–$24,999

(Membership benefits value of $452 are not tax-deductible)

All President’s Circle Level benefits as well as:

  • Private luncheon with the Museum President & CEO for six people, followed by a customized curator-led behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum’s Collections and Research Center
  • Opportunities for acknowledgement in conjunction with a Museum or Sea Center Educational Program of your choice
  • Opportunity to host a private at-cost event at the Museum or Sea Center

Chairman's Circle: $25,000 and above

All Collector’s Circle Level benefits as well as:

  • Two free tickets to the Museum's annual Santa Barbara Wine + Food Festival®
  • Private dinner with the Museum President & CEO for ten people in a Museum or Sea Center gallery of your choice
